The $25,000 Guarantee

Vetted Member — The Good Contractors List

Your Project, Backed by a $25,000 Guarantee

Roof Technologies passed the background checks and vetting to join The Good Contractors List. Book a residential project through them and your job is protected by their $25,000 guarantee — one more layer of certainty on top of your manufacturer and workmanship warranties.

What the $25,000 Guarantee Actually Means for You

The Good Contractors List is an independent organization that personally vets the contractors it lists — in-person interviews and background checks on both the business and the individual — and then stands behind their work financially. Roof Technologies is one of those vetted members.

Here’s the part that matters: when you hire a listed contractor for a residential project and you’ve registered first, The Good Contractors List guarantees the job. If the contractor doesn’t complete the work as promised, The Good Contractors List steps in — arranging completion, repairing or replacing defective work, or compensating you, up to $25,000. The guarantee is theirs, funded by them, at no cost to you.

$25,000
Completion Guarantee

Provided and funded by The Good Contractors List — not an out-of-pocket promise from a contractor. Register free before hiring to activate it.

How the Guarantee Works

Four steps. The only one with a deadline is the first — you have to register before you hire, because registration is what switches your coverage on.

1

Register Free

Create a free homeowner account with The Good Contractors List. It takes a few minutes and they don’t sell your information.

Do this before you hire
2

Hire Roof Technologies

Book your residential project with us through the list and register the project. Your $25,000 coverage is now active.

3

We Do the Work

We complete your roof, solar, or exterior project the way we document it — scope, schedule, and price agreed up front.

4

You’re Protected

In the rare event work isn’t completed as promised, file a Notice of Default with The Good Contractors List. They assess it and resolve it — up to $25,000.

What’s Covered — and What Isn’t

Straight from The Good Contractors List’s published terms. We’d rather you know the boundaries up front than be surprised later.

Covered

  • Residential projects booked through The Good Contractors List
  • A listed contractor failing to complete the agreed work
  • Completion of unfinished work, or repair/replacement of defective work
  • Financial compensation up to $25,000 if completion isn’t possible
  • Every future project with a listed contractor, once you’re registered

Not Covered

  • Commercial projects (the program is residential)
  • Product/manufacturing defects (those fall under material warranties)
  • Work by contractors not listed on the platform
  • Any contractor you hire outside the platform
  • Projects where you didn’t register before hiring

It Stacks With Your Other Protections

The $25,000 guarantee doesn’t replace your warranties — it sits alongside them. A typical Roof Technologies residential project carries three layers:

Manufacturer Warranty

The material warranty on your roof system — for example, the UL 2218 Class 4 shingle warranty — covering the product itself for decades.

Workmanship Warranty

Roof Technologies’ own warranty on the quality of the installation — the labor and craft that put the system on your home.

$25,000 Guarantee

The The Good Contractors List layer — an independent backstop that the project gets completed as promised, period.

Why We’re On the List

Not every contractor qualifies. The Good Contractors List personally meets each contractor, conducts an in-depth interview, and runs background checks on both the business and the individual — verifying a strong legal and financial reputation — before adding them.

We see that as a feature, not a hurdle. It’s the same standard we hold ourselves to: documented scopes, transparent pricing, and one point of accountability from first walk to final sign-off. Membership just puts an independent third party’s name behind that promise.

Guarantee Questions, Answered

The guarantee is provided and funded by The Good Contractors List, an independent organization that vets and stands behind the contractors on its list. It is not paid by Roof Technologies. If a listed contractor fails to complete a project as promised, The Good Contractors List steps in — arranging completion of the work, repair or replacement, or financial compensation up to $25,000.
No. Homeowner registration with The Good Contractors List is completely free, and they state that they do not sell your personal information to contractors or third parties. The guarantee adds no cost to your Roof Technologies project.
Per The Good Contractors List’s published terms, the guarantee does not extend to product defects, commercial projects, work performed by third-party contractors not listed on the platform, or any contractor you hire outside the platform. It is a residential, platform-booked guarantee.
You submit a Notice of Default to The Good Contractors List. They assess it to determine whether a default occurred (you agree to provide the information they reasonably need, and they may visit your home to inspect the work). If they confirm a default, they resolve it by completing, repairing, or compensating, up to $25,000.
Register as a homeowner on the The Good Contractors List website — it’s free and takes a few minutes — before you hire your contractor. Registration is what activates your $25,000 coverage for the project. If you hire first without registering, the project is not protected.
It covers a listed contractor failing to complete the agreed residential work as promised. If The Good Contractors List determines a default has occurred, they will — at their election — arrange for the unfinished work to be completed, repair or replace defective work, or provide financial compensation, up to $25,000.
No — they’re separate protections that stack. Your roof still carries its manufacturer material warranty (for example, the Class 4 shingle warranty) and the Roof Technologies workmanship warranty. The $25,000 guarantee is an additional layer from The Good Contractors List covering project completion.
The Good Contractors List describes a one-time homeowner registration as providing lifetime coverage on every project when you hire an active contractor from their list — so once you’re registered, future projects with listed contractors are covered too.

Activate Your $25,000 Guarantee

It’s free, and it only works if you register before you hire. Register with The Good Contractors List, then let’s talk about your project — documented scope, transparent price, and an independent guarantee behind it.

The $25,000 guarantee is a program of The Good Contractors List, an independent third party, and is provided and funded by them — not by Roof Technologies, LLC. Coverage requires free homeowner registration with The Good Contractors List prior to hiring, applies to residential projects booked through the platform, and is subject to The Good Contractors List’s eligibility requirements, exclusions, and claims process. Commercial projects, product defects, and off-platform work are excluded. See The Good Contractors List’s official terms for complete details.
