Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

Roof Technologies, LLC ("Roof Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or contact us about our services, how we use that information, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our website or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described here.

This policy applies to rooftechnologies.com and to any information you provide us by phone, email, text message, or contact form in connection with our roofing, solar, gutter, windows, siding, stucco, painting, and related exterior services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two broad categories of information: information you give us directly, and information that is collected automatically when you use our website.

Information you provide directly

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Service address (the property where work would be performed)
  • Details about your project, property, or insurance claim that you choose to share with us
  • Any photos, documents, or files you upload or send us

Information collected automatically

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type, operating system, and device information
  • Pages viewed on our site and time spent on each page
  • The website or ad that referred you to us
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (described in Section 4)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and answer your questions
  • To schedule inspections, estimates, and appointments
  • To provide the services you have requested and send project updates
  • To coordinate with your insurance carrier on claim-related work, if applicable
  • To improve the content, performance, and usability of our website
  • To keep records required for warranties, contracts, accounting, and legal compliance
  • To send you optional marketing communications, but only if you have opted in
  • To prevent fraud, protect our rights, and comply with applicable law

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our site, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and to improve your experience.

Specifically, our website uses:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) for website traffic and user-behavior analytics.
  • Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy our analytics and measurement tags.
  • Pinterest Tag to measure the performance of our Pinterest advertising campaigns.

You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete existing cookies. Please note that disabling cookies may limit some features of our website.

5. Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy, and their handling of your information is governed by those policies, not ours.

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Pinterest: See Pinterest's privacy policy at https://policy.pinterest.com/en/privacy-policy.
  • Social platforms: We maintain profiles on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter). Any information you share with us through those platforms is also governed by the privacy policy of the platform itself.
  • Better Business Bureau (BBB): We link to our BBB profile for verification purposes. The BBB site has its own privacy practices.

6. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the limited circumstances listed below:

  • With trusted subcontractors and vendors who perform specific parts of a project you have hired us for, and only to the extent needed to complete that work.
  • With your insurance carrier or adjuster, when we are coordinating an insurance claim on your behalf.
  • With service providers that help us operate our business, such as website hosting, analytics, email, and customer-management tools, under agreements that require them to protect your data.
  • When legally required, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • In a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category above. No mobile information collected when you opt in to text messages — including your mobile number and the fact that you consented — will be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the messaging providers that deliver texts on our behalf, and only so those messages can be sent to you, or where the law requires it.

7. Text Messaging (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages about your project. Here is exactly how that program works.

  • How you opt in. You opt in by submitting a form on this site with your mobile number, by giving your number to our team and agreeing to texts, or by texting us first. We do not buy phone numbers or text people who have not opted in.
  • What we send. Appointment reminders, job status updates, answers to questions you have asked us, and occasional special offers.
  • Message frequency. Varies — it depends on your project and how much we are coordinating with you.
  • Cost. We do not charge for the messages, but message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to texts to get an estimate or hire us. You can ask us to call or email you instead.
  • How to stop. Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details in the Contact section below.
  • Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We never sell or share your mobile number or your text-messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing. See the Information Sharing section above for the full detail. Opting out of text messages does not remove you from phone or email contact about a project you have asked us about — tell us and we will stop those too.

8. Phone Calls

When you give us your phone number, you are agreeing that we may call you about what you contacted us about. Specifically:

  • Calls about your project. To answer your questions, schedule or confirm an inspection or estimate, give you status updates, and coordinate with your insurance carrier or adjuster if a claim is involved. We may leave a voicemail.
  • Marketing calls only if you opt in. We do not make telemarketing calls to people who have not asked to hear from us.
  • Calls may be recorded. Calls with our team may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, and to keep an accurate record of what was discussed and agreed. If you would rather not be recorded, say so at the start of the call and we will stop the recording or continue without it. Recordings are protected like the rest of your information and are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
  • Automated dialing and prerecorded messages. Some of our calls and voicemails may be placed using automated telephone dialing technology, or may use a prerecorded or artificial voice. Where we use that technology for marketing, we do so only with your prior express written consent — and that consent is never required in order to buy anything from us. You can withdraw it at any time using the opt-out below.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to phone calls to get an estimate or hire us — tell us and we will use email or text instead.
  • How to stop. Tell us on any call, or contact us using the details in the Contact section below, and we will add you to our internal do-not-call list. We honor that list and the National Do Not Call Registry for marketing calls.

Your phone number is treated the same as the rest of your personal information: we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. See the Information Sharing section above.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as we need it to serve the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:

  • Inquiry and lead data is retained while we are actively communicating with you and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Contract and project records (estimates, invoices, contracts, change orders, photos, and inspection reports) are retained for the duration of the applicable warranty period and the relevant statute of limitations, generally up to seven years after project completion.
  • Accounting and tax records are retained for the period required by federal and state law.
  • Website analytics data is retained according to the default retention periods of the analytics providers we use.

When we no longer need your information, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

10. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information.
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information, so this right is effectively built in.
  • The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect the personal information we collect, including secure hosting, restricted internal access, and encrypted transmission of form submissions. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are directed to adult homeowners, property managers, and business decision-makers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
